Environmental Consultants (Intermediate to Lead)
 
We are seeking skilled Environmental Consultants to join our client’s Planning and Environmental Approvals Teams in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

In this role, you will play a key part in managing our diverse project pipeline, which includes environmental planning, impact assessments, and approvals. You will be involved in significant projects spanning various sectors, with a particular emphasis on defence, renewables, energy storage, transport, and water.

Our client offers genuine flexibility, including hybrid (home/office) working arrangements to support work-life balance. The position can be tailored to full-time or part-time to meet your needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare environmental constraints reports, REFs, scoping documents, environmental impact assessments, statutory planning submissions, and environmental management plans.
  • Offer environmental and planning advice to internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects through technical input, project management assistance, and specialist coordination.
  • Access career development frameworks and receive coaching and mentoring from industry experts in an environment that values diversity, flexibility, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with a national team, working on projects across Australia within our 280+ strong Environmental Solutions business.
  • Continuously develop your technical and consulting skills to take on increasing responsibilities as you gain experience.
The role may involve part-time work at client offices as required.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek an enthusiastic, values-driven individual to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple industries. This role will enhance your consulting, project management, and technical skills through various environmental consulting projects. You will have:
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in environmental science, environmental planning, or a related discipline.
  • 2-6 years of experience in environmental planning, impact assessment, and approvals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with environmental planning legislation in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and at the Commonwealth level.
  • Excellent reporting and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, motivation, and the ability to work independently
