About Our Client: The Company focuses on ecological, bushfire, and cultural heritage projects across Australia, serving various Government agencies and corporate clients. Presently, they operate from offices in Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, and Sydney.
Due to their expanding operations, they are looking to hire a proactive and enthusiastic individual eager to enhance their expertise and skills as a Bushfire Consultant.
The Role: Bush Fire Consultant Candidates for this position should possess experience in the environmental sector, particularly in bushfire consulting or within planning and approvals teams at organizations like CFA/FRV. The company's specialized teams are actively engaged in diverse projects across multiple sectors such as government, property, renewable energy, linear infrastructure (roads, railways, and pipelines), water management, and mining and extractive industries.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in an environmental (preferably bushfire) field (e.g. Bushfire, Bushfire Planning, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science).
- Understanding of relevant bushfire legislation and policies (e.g. relevant clauses of the Victoria Planning Provisions, AS 3959:2018 Construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas).
- Experience in a bushfire consulting role and/or as part of the CFA/FRV planning team – ideally minimum of three years and ideally FPAA BPAD Accredited.
- Experience in managing projects with the ability to manage a multi-task workload and be able to meet client deadlines.
